GR9 titanium alloy is a near-α type titanium alloy with a nominal composition of Ti-3Al-2.5V. It is developed as a cold-workable pipe material. Its strength is 20% to 50% higher than that of pure titanium at room temperature and high temperature, and its welding performance and cold forming performance are superior to those of GR5 alloy. The maximum operating temperature is approximately 315 °C. Although the alloy is not as strong as the GR5 alloy, it is widely used because of its excellent cold workability.
Application
GR9 titanium alloy seamless pipe is suitable for pipeline systems such as aircraft and engine hydraulics and fuel oil. It has been used in various military and civil aircraft and aerospace applications.
